When I'm with someone who is congruent within themselves, and who has expert listening skills, I can grow and change and thrive. I feel so much more relaxed, known and loved. I keep wishing that everyone around me had those skills--we need them now more than ever.
I've been through hundreds of hours of coach training, and I wish that someone had just started out with the deep stuff right away. At the beginning, I learned a lot about action, goals, progress, success--nothing wrong with those. And learning those skills did help me and my career. But I wish someone had embodied spiritual and identity alignment, so that my goals had more meaning, and my actions were deeply engrained and sustainable. It's taken me more than 10 years to put the pieces together.
Over the years, I find that I feel most alive when I'm passing along the universal principles that have been so transformational in my own life. The principles that allowed me to forgive, to see myself and others clearly, to be true to myself and my values, and to love beyond what I thought possible. I want that so badly for you! And for us to have a big ripple effect together.

Meet Our Faculty
Christi Byerly, MCC - founder and CEO
Christi's coaching process motivates you to build a community of empathy and grace around you — and to live your mission as part of something bigger than you are.
Christi has trained hundreds of new coaches in French and English since 2014 and has mentored dozens of coaches-in-training. She maintains a thriving coaching practice and has been coaching professionally since 2009, after graduating from the International Coach Academy.
Christi holds a Master NLP certificate, as well as certifications in spiritual direction, group coaching, depth coaching, Enneagram work and mentor coaching.
As a Certified Facilitator, Christi is authorized to offer all three types of Brené Brown’s workshops intensives, which can each be completed in a 2-day or 3-day format. They are The Daring Way™, Rising Strong™ and Dare to Lead™.
Married to Ben, she is the mom of three teenagers and lives in Alsace on the French, Swiss, German borders.

Susanne Ritter-Olsen, Certified Coach
Susanne is a multi-lingual Career Transition, Leadership & Executive Coach with over 15 years of experience in business and HR leadership roles.
Since 2008 she has worked fully as a coach supporting international professionals in their career transition to a new country. She is Danish and her own experience as a newcomer to 6 different counties throughout her career, speaking 4 languages fluently and 3 semi- fluently has helped her support highly qualified professionals coming to Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Luxemburg, and the UK to land a new job or engage in career development opportunities while navigating life in a new culture.
A favorite engagement of hers is supporting Technology & Machine Industry companies as well as Chemical and Pharma organizations to grow their female talent and serve these through leadership development coaching. Her true passion is supporting female leaders in their growth!
Over the years she also has experienced the joy of supporting senior growth-oriented leaders, managers, and middle managers through executive coaching reaching both personal and professional goals.
In addition to her certifications, she is also well acquainted with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and 360 Assessments and holds a Degree in business and supply chain management from Business College Kolding in Denmark.
Based near Basel, Switzerland, Susanne is a wife of a self-employed IT engineering Expert and mom to 3 wonderful sons - all now grown up and therefore an empty nester with the lovely family dog Layla!

Deb Brupbacher, PCC
Debbie is a highly motivated and passionate Executive Leadership, Career, and Team Coach. With over 20 years of experience in multinational firms serving in various senior global roles in finance and transformational projects, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her clients. Throughout her career, people development has always been at the center, and she has now found her true calling in coaching and leadership development.
Debbie’s approach to coaching is centered around increasing awareness of the power of vulnerability, authenticity, and heartfelt leadership. By combining conceptual frameworks, metaphors, fun, movement, and nature, she helps her clients expand their thinking and expectations, leading to a higher level of effectiveness and leadership. Her goal is to inspire and encourage clients to be more self-aware of their strengths and value, allowing them to achieve greater success in both their careers and personal lives.
Based in Bern, Switzerland, Debbie enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter and two cats, as well as pursuing her love of nature, mountain running and is an ultra-race winner. She brings her experiences in running and nature to her coaching programs, imparting discipline, resilience, self-awareness, and purpose.

When I graduate from the 8-week course, what can I tell people about my coaching?
You can say, "I have graduated from an ICF-accredited coach training program and I am a professional coach." Our goal is to produce competent coaches who have practiced each week and can confidently hold purposeful coaching conversations with their teams.
Will I receive an International Coaching Federation (ICF) credential?
Awaken Coach Institute is accredited by the ICF. When you take our training plus our mentoring program, you will have all the training and mentoring hours you need to take the ICF's written exam. If you'd like to become an ICF Credentialed coach, you will want to add the Awaken Coach Institute Mentor Coaching package, which takes place over a 3-month period with our senior faculty. You will not be required to take the ICF's oral exam, because the Awaken Coach Institute oral exam is sufficient for the ICF. You will be eligible to take the written exam and receive your ICF ACC credential once you have completed 100 hours of coaching outside of class time, which is true of all ICF coach training programs worldwide.

*Cancellation Policy:
- No refunds will be offered. However, Awaken Coaching, LLC will apply the payment toward a future training or any Awaken Coaching, LLC course, to be used within one year. Awaken Coach Institute will work with students dealing with unforeseen personal circumstances who would like to continue their training at a later date, allowing the student to transfer the registration to a later session of the course.
- In the event that Awaken Coaching, LLC must cancel a course, due to the COVID-19 pandemic or any other unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to place the student in a later offering of the course.
