A 90-minute spiritual coaching session with Christi Byerly, MCC
For ninety minutes, you will be in conversation with Christi on Zoom. You can come exactly as you are, with your questions half-formed and your thoughts still finding their shape. The session begins from wherever you actually are.
What you will find is a quality of presence that most people have not experienced before. Christi brings the full depth of her training as a Master Certified Coach alongside a spiritual accompaniment that trusts what is already alive in you. She listens at a depth that allows what is most true to surface. She asks the questions you have not yet found words for. She holds the space with the kind of warmth and steadiness that makes it safe to speak what has been waiting to be spoken.
Together you will name what is actually calling you, beneath the immediate circumstances and the noise of everyday life. You will speak aloud the truth you may have been carrying quietly for longer than you realize. You will receive spiritual practices tailored to your particular moment, drawn directly from what surfaces between you in the conversation.

You are hoping someone will tell you what to do. Christi will not do that, because The Great Love already knows what is true in you. The work here is helping you hear it, not replacing it with someone else's knowing.
You are looking for a place to stay comfortable. The Great Love is not unkind, but it is honest. If you are not yet ready to name what is actually true, this is not the right moment for this session. When you are, The Threshold Session will be here.
You are in need of clinical or therapeutic support. The Great Love holds all of our wounds, and there is no shame in needing that kind of care first. This session is spiritual accompaniment and coaching, and it works best when you are stable enough to turn toward what is calling rather than toward what is hurting.
How It Works
Step 1: You book and pay
Your journey begins the moment you book. A welcome email from Christi arrives with five reflection questions, as an invitation to begin listening inward before you arrive. Many people find that the questions alone begin to surface what the session will name.
Step 2: The session
A week or so later you and Christi meet on Zoom for ninety minutes. You can come with your reflections written out or simply held in your heart. Christi will meet you exactly where you are, and together you will follow what is most alive in the conversation.
Step 3: What comes next
The session does not end when the call does. What surfaced between you will continue to work in you in the days that follow. A week later Christi will be in touch, a gentle check-in to see how it is unfolding, a reminder that you are seen and held as you find your way forward.

Early enrollment gift
If you've been hearing this calling you for some time, Christi is offering one additional 60-minute coaching session as a gift for those who sign up to Remembering the Great Love before the end of June. This will be an extra opportunity to deepen into the liminal space at your threshold, before the retreat begins in France. This early enrollment bonus session should be scheduled in July and August working around Christi's summer schedule. This will be the only way to work with Christi on a 1:1 basis in 2026 & 2027.
Enrollment in Remembering the Great Love closes four weeks before the retreat begins.
The retreat in Bordeaux, France, runs Sept. 24-30, 2026.
Why I Created This Offering
Through the process of writing Holy Rebellion, I revisited every threshold moment of my own journey. The times when a deep calling was pulling me forward and I was not yet ready to recognize it fully. When the truth I was sensing contradicted everything I had been taught. When I needed someone to witness what was unfolding in me, to stay present with it, to trust it alongside me.
I remembered sitting in my spiritual director's office in Kenya, unable to articulate what was shifting. The container I had been living in no longer fit, and I had no words for what wanted to come next. She sat with me in that. She asked questions I could not have asked myself. Her presence gave me permission to trust what was shifting, even before I could speak it clearly.
That time together changed the direction of my life. Her willingness to witness what was true in me, without rushing toward resolution, was the most transformative gift I had ever received.
Years later, I find myself in that same role. Sitting with leaders, coaches, and seekers who are at their own thresholds. Brave people carrying questions they have not yet been able to speak aloud. People longing for someone who has walked the winding path to say: what you are sensing is real. The path is trustworthy. You do not have to have it all figured out to keep walking.

Is this faith-based?
You will find your faith in the power of Love expanding as we go.
I'm not affiliated with any denomination. You don't need to be a member of any faith tradition. This work is deeply spiritual. We'll recognize the movement of Love (capital L), trust, the sacred, and what wants to unfold in you.
If you're deconstructing from high-demand religion, you'll find a home here. If you've never been religious but are spiritually curious, you're welcome. If you practice from any contemplative tradition, that's honored.
What I ask: willingness to engage depth, complexity, and mystery.
What if I decide not to join the VIP program?
That's completely fine. You keep the clarity, practices, and guidance from both sessions. There's no pressure. Many people book Spiritual coaching and alignment with Christi for the standalone value and never enroll in VIP, and that's honored.
What's the difference between this and a regular coaching session?
This session is specifically designed for threshold moments and spiritual discernment. While you'll receive coaching, there's also a spiritual accompaniment dimension, we're exploring what wants to unfold in you at a soul level, not just solving problems.
Can I use this session to ask logistical questions about the Remembering the Great Love 12-month program?

What is spiritual coaching, and how is this different from therapy or spiritual direction?
Spiritual coaching works at the intersection of who you are and how you're living. It's not therapy, we're not treating the past or diagnosing what's wrong. And it's not traditional spiritual direction, though there's overlap. In this session, we're exploring what's alive and calling in you right now: what your inner knowing is telling you, where you're at a threshold, and what Love might be inviting. You leave with practices, clarity, and a felt sense of being accompanied rather than advised.
What does a spiritual life coach actually do?
In our work together, the coaching isn't about fixing you or building a better version of yourself. It's about witnessing what's already true, and helping you trust it. We name what's calling. We sit with what's hard. We explore practices that keep you present with what's unfolding, rather than strategies that push you toward a predetermined outcome. Love does the transforming. The coach holds the space.
What happens if the retreat does not go ahead?
If you are purchasing The Threshold Session as your first step into Remembering the Great Love, here is what you need to know. Remembering the Great Love runs with a minimum of six participants. In the event that minimum is not reached, all Remembering the Great Love payments will be refunded in full. Your Threshold Session was a complete journey in itself, and that investment stands, as does everything that surfaced between you in that time. Christi will offer an additional 60-minute session to all affected participants as a gesture of care, unless you have already received your early enrollment bonus session.
