ICF Credentials: The Smooth Path, the Hard Path, and How to Choose

Level 3 (MCC Pathway)

Those seeking the Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential. If you already hold a PCC and have the 200+ hours of training required, our Level 3 bridge provides the advanced mentor coaching, supervision, and high-level training necessary to successfully submit your MCC application without the portfolio headache.

What is the ICF Portfolio Path? The Portfolio Path is the ICF's credentialing route for coaches whose training was not completed through an ICF-accredited program. Rather than submitting a single certificate from an accredited school, you must manually document and submit all training hours, curricula, and recordings for individual review by the ICF. It is significantly more time-consuming and expensive than applying through an accredited program.

Can I get an ICF credential if my coach training wasn't ICF-accredited? Yes. The Portfolio Path exists specifically for this situation. What are the ICF credential levels?
