Your hours do not expire, and they remain valid under the rules that were in place at the time they were provided.

• January 1, 2027: Any mentor coaching that takes place on or after January 1, 2027, must be conducted by a mentor holding the Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS). All Awaken Coach Institute mentor coaches will hold their MCS in advance.

• April 1, 2027: For ACC and PCC credential candidates who completed mentor coaching in 2026, those hours will still count toward the required 10 mentor coaching hours. Candidates applying after April 1, 2027, need an MCS to complete their competency review form.
